La Moye Golf Club invited Stephanie to assist with a project to realign two fairways and make improvements to the course for Members.
The proposed works to realign the fairways involves land which is located in the Coastal National Park and an Ecological Site of Special Interest. The realigned fairways are located prominently on the edge of the interior plateau above St Ouen’s Bay.

Any development proposals would need to consider the impacts on these highly sensitive environmental receptors.
Stephanie managed and co-ordinated a planning application informed by EIA and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment. Ecological assessment provided by Nurture Ecology informed the Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan, which was an important mitigation measure explaining how the overall project might result in an enhancement of this ecologically sensitive landscape.
Stephanie crafted a bespoke community engagement strategy, which was managed by La Moye Golf Course and which informed the planning submission.
Through careful engagement with stakeholders and Planning Officers, planning permission was granted by the Planning Applications Team using delegated powers.
Planning permission has allowed La Moye Club to make the changes to the course and improve the playing experience (including safety) for players and also experienced by neighbours.
The Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan has resulted in a wider enhancement of the ecological value of the area to the benefit of the community.
